Nothing published on this site has yet needed correcting. That is a statement about how long it has been published, not a claim of infallibility. When something is wrong, it will appear here with what was wrong, who it affected, how we found it, and the test that stops it recurring.

Tell us: hello@workterms.co.uk. What helps most is the spinal column point, your hours, the month you chose, and what your payslip actually shows. Please do not send a payslip image or your salary — we do not want it and do not store it.
A difference of a few pence from your payslip is expected and explained in the methodology. A difference of pounds is worth reporting.
What counts as a correction
A figure that was wrong. A pay point, an hourly rate, a percentage, a date an award takes effect, a deduction. Anything somebody could have relied on and been misled by. These are logged here with what the figure was, what it should have been, who it affected and how it was found.
Not every edit. Rewording a paragraph, adding a section, fixing a typo or improving a table is not a correction and does not appear here — a log that records everything records nothing, because the real corrections disappear into the noise.
A wrong figure is not fixed quietly and it is not fixed alone. Every correction also gets a test that would have caught it, because the same mistake made twice is a process failure rather than an accident. That is why this page names the test alongside the fix.
How long it takes
A wrong figure is corrected as soon as it is confirmed, and the entry here goes up at the same time rather than afterwards. Confirming means reading the source document again — not taking either your word or our own previous word for it, which is the only way to avoid replacing one error with another.
If a figure is disputed and we cannot settle it from the documents, the page carrying it says so while the question is open. An uncertain figure marked uncertain is useful; an uncertain figure presented as settled is the thing this whole site exists to avoid.
Before publication
Defects found in the calculation engine before this site was ever published are recorded in the project’s decision log rather than here, because they reached no one.
